Elias
Elias is the person who is in charge of Lilith and seems to start the game by letting her go. He looks like a Sith Lord from the Star Wars world because of how he was made. He doesn’t have a lightsaber, but he has a lot of magic skills, like being able to bring himself back to life.
He is not as dangerous as Lilith, but what he does behind the scenes hurts the heroes. The best part of the game is when players get to his city and see how the people there have been made to think he is like a god.
Meshif
Meshif has a small part in the game that has to do with this place and Elias. The player character will find him drunk and unsure about who they are and who Lorath is. He keeps thinking that Deckard Cain, who has been dead for a long time, is Lorath.
Even though his mind is a mess, he is trustworthy enough to get the team across the desert. Even though he dies in a bad way, he at least gets to go out with honor, which can’t be said for all of the other characters in the game. Some of the body horror in recent horror movies isn’t as weird as what’s in Diablo 4.
Taissa
Taissa is one of the many people in the game who are almost killed for Lilith. Elias is trying to turn her into a host so that one of Hell’s devils, Andariel, can come back to life. The player and Lorath get there just in time to save her from, of all places, a volcano.
For most of the game, Taissa is saved or cared for in case Elias and the others come back. Andariel is brought back to life for a boss fight, but Taissa does not die. Without giving anything away, Taissa gets to beat the bad guys in a cool way in the end.
Vigo
Vigo is not Vigo the Carpathian from Ghostbusters 2, even though that would have been a cool tie-in. Instead, Vigo is a hero who has a troubled mind. He wants to do the right thing, but when the odds are against him, he turns to Lilith and the dark side.
Vigo sees the mistake of his ways before he does anything dangerous, though, and comes to help the player during a boss fight. He is inside a mech that looks like it came from the Middle Ages and is almost like an iron maiden. He dies inside this robot, but at least his last fight was worth it.
Donan
Donan used to be one of the legendary fighters who fought alongside Lorath to keep Sanctuary safe. He doesn’t want to accept that Lilith has come back, but he comes around faster than most characters in Diablo 4. That is, until his son, Yorin, is killed by a Soulstone in order to bring Astaroth back to life.
The only way to stop the fused figures from helping Lilith is for the players to kill Yorin. This puts Donan in a bad situation, which gives him one of the best storylines in the game. Also, he gives players horses in Diablo 4, which makes him like a god.
Neyrelle
When we first meet Neyrelle, she is trying to get into some ruins that Vigo is guarding. She is both an explorer and a scholar who wants to learn more about Sanctuary’s dark past. Her main goal is to find her mother, which she does, but not in the way she wants.
Neyrelle’s mother believes Lilith’s lies and dies before the player in an evil state. After this quest is done, it seems like her part in Skibidi Toilet is over, but Neyrelle comes back with the power of a thousand children, looking for both answers and revenge.
Lorath
Ralph Ineson does a great job with Lorath’s voice in Diablo 4, which makes him a great character. He starts out as a loner, but he ends up being the one who holds the key to the whole game. Like Doran, he used to be a legendary fighter who worked in the shadows for the people of Sanctuary.
This old mage is done being a hero, but that doesn’t stop him from doing the right thing. In Star Wars terms, Lorath is like Obi-Wan Kenobi, but he has a meaner tongue. Funny enough, Ineson will also play a major role in another June RPG called Final Fantasy 16.
Lilith
Even though Lilith is the bad guy, she is the star of Diablo 4. One problem with the old games was that they didn’t have a main bad guy. Lilith shows up almost everywhere in the story, and she isn’t just some nameless monster waiting for the players as the final boss. She has a complex past, and she isn’t bad just to be bad.
She has goals and will kill anyone who gets in her way, but she has a good reason. Players will want to play this game and finish it as quickly as possible because of Lilith.
Diablo 4 came out on June 6, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
